February 2012 BUSTED! Video Winners
First Place: C. Heath: Squirrel eats the house trying to get in
I have a Logitech Alert Security camera installed in my attic window. I was alerted via my smartphone when this squirrel was trying to eat his way through the window sill into my house. Thanks to that alert, I was able to scare him away before he made his way in and then make that area of the house squirrel proof. We all know how much damage a squirrel can do if they get into your house. After this, my system has more than paid for itself! Thanks Logitech!

Second Place: E.Oritz: Thief steals UPS packages off the porch
We have six Logitech WiLife cameras as follows:
- (1) Outdoor Camera covers the front door
- (1) Indoor Camera with Wide Angle Lens covers the front porch
- (1) Indoor Camera with Wide Angle Lens covers the back door
- (1) Indoor Camera with Wide Angle Lens covers the back gate
- (1) Indoor Camera with Wide Angle Lens covers the back yard (from our second story)
- (1) Indoor Camera with Wide Angle Lens covers the side street (from our second story, we live on a corner)
We have benefited from having video security as seen by the attached video — we captured a thief stealing our UPS packages on my Logitech WiLife Security Cameras on Wednesday February 1st, 2012.
On the first two videos, you will see the UPS man drop off two packages on my front porch, 4 minutes later a woman appears and steals the first UPS package. What's interesting about this woman is it appears she has no shoes on, only white socks. 24 minutes later the same woman returns for the second UPS package, again no shoes, only white socks.
We have learned that the house across the street is vacant and as you can see on the second to last video a pickup truck is clearly seen in the driveway. We contacted the owner and she tells us that she hired painters to paint the interior of her house prior to leasing it. The pickup truck in the driveway is the painter's pickup truck. In the last video you can see the same pickup truck leaving for the day you can also clearly see the large white box that was just stolen from our front porch in the bed of the pickup truck.
After seeing these videos, we called the police and gave them all the videos we had for the entire day. The police officer we talked to was very impressed with the quality of the videos and with the security system. In fact, he asked me a lot of questions about the video system and who made it. He was so impressed that he stated that he was going to buy a Logitech Security System for his house.
The video cameras give a sense of security. We know that no matter what happens we will know who, what and when it happened.
Thanks!
Third Place: D. Rouzzo: Thieves break in through kitchen door window
At the time this video was captured, I had only one WiLife camera behind my coffee pot on the kitchen counter. The camera was pointed at a door entrance from an outside breezeway. The door was double locked as you can see. This break in occurred at my home on September 2, 2011 at 1:10 PM in Trumbull County, Ohio. The individuals were never caught but the story and video caught the attention of the local news media.

Hopefully, these individuals will be arrested and prosecuted. Without the video, the chances of an arrest would be zero. Since the break-in, I have added two more cameras. I'm thankful for the video but more thankful no one was home at the time this occurred.
