September 2009 Customer Success Story Winners

First Place: B. Damm: Black Bear Who Loves Bird Feeders

The reason I installed the Logitech WiLife system was to have the ability to view my weekend home. I've shared my wildlife videos with family and friends for the last several years. So, the added bonus with Logitech was the ability to watch all the local wildlife (bears, birds, turkey's, groundhogs, raccoons, humans, etc).

I selected the Logitech WiLife Video Security System based off video quality, the easiness of installation, and the simplistic software install. My current camera configuration is: four outdoor cameras and one indoor camera.

Second Place: B. Petersen: Car Collides into Parked SUV

I purchased a WiLlife camera system to keep tabs on traffic in front of my house. Imagine my surprise when I captured a vehicle not able to make it around the curve, on dry pavement, at 11:30 in the morning, and on a sunny day, and hit an SUV parked in front of our house.

The impact pushed the parked SUV 3 to 4 feet and caused so much damage that the SUV was un-repairable. The driver kept going as if nothing happened. However, the video helped identify the owner of the car and ensured that a claim could be made on their insurance policy totaling over $7,000.00. My WiLife system has earned its keep many times over. Thanks Logitech!

Third Place: C. DiBenedetto: Teen Shirt Thief

I purchased my Logitech WiLife Video Security Camera System in the summer of 2007 in order to protect my retail business. I found out about the camera from the store display in Costco.

On July 10th, a young man came in to get embroidery on his hat. At my embroidery store, we track customers by first and last name and phone number in order to call them when their order is ready for pickup. After collecting this man’s information, we told him he could have his hat done while he waited. After he left, I had a bad feeling about him so I viewed the video and caught him stealing from the showroom while we were embroidering his hat in the back room! I even have a sign on the front door displaying “video recording in progress”.
