M. Nichols: Who's been eating the shrubbery?

I work part time in Arizona and our home is empty for several days at a time. I installed the WiLife cameras in the front and back to monitor any activity.

My wife loves to garden and noted that some of her plants were being eaten. She suspected rabbits as we see a lot of them in the neighborhood. As you can see from the video she even covered some plants to protect them. When she discovered that despite these efforts the plants were ravaged, I went to the security system to check. I think the video speaks for itself. Thanks for the help.

V. Hramtsov: Bobcat sighting in Glendale

A bobcat has been spotted recently in our backyard. Our driveway camera captured this when we were coming home. This looks like same one that has been hanging around. Over the years we have experienced deer, coyotes, raccoons, possums etc. but never a wild cat!

J. Holmes: Ding-dong-ditching while walking the dog?

This young boy was caught on my Logitech WiLife camera system doing a “Ding Dong Ditch” (ringing our door bell, then running). We figured out who he was by his dog. His parents were not happy!

C. Marshall, "The Moose Who Loved BirdFeeders"

What event influenced you to purchase a video security system?
Home monitoring while on vacation

Where are the Cameras installed in your home or business?
Home – we have 4 WiLife cameras installed.

How have you benefited from having video security?
I believe having the camera with its motion LED active in a window is a theft deterrent. Having the wild animals captured on video.

What is your video clip about?
A moose is checking out our bird feeder in our back yard. There is a great view of the Chugach Mountains in the background. After the moose checks out the bird feeder, he gets excited and runs around the back yard.

J. DeLapa, "Lunchtime for Mr. Spider"

My outdoor camera is up high where it's hard for me to reach. A spider decided to build a web in front of the camera. I never saw the web or the spider until a bug landed in the web one day.

I guess this is what lunchtime looks like when you're a spider!

Nice of him to step back out of the line of site after lunch!

M. Chinsky: Black Bear In Suburbia

We bought the system looking for a way to have additional security at the house. We’ve benefited by being able to see things that happen around the house while we are not around.

On this particular day, our neighbors called our house to tell us that a black bear was in our front yard. By the time we looked out the windows, the bear had left.

M. Hershberger: High-Quality Security Cameras Record Hawk Flying by a Barn

We have the Logitech WiLife system installed at our farm because we are not usually there during the week. We always enjoy the images captured by the cameras of the wildlife in the area, but this one surprised us. In reviewing the footage at normal speed, we saw this shadow on the ground and then just a flash across the screen. We then went back and looked at it frame by frame and found it was a hawk passing by the camera. At a 10 fps capture rate, the hawk only took two frames to traverse the camera’s entire field of view. But the images from those two frames are stunning. We were very surprised and pleased since, we didn't even know we had hawks in the area.

I have attached two images of the hawk taken by the cameras to highlight the quality.

R. Rader, Snakes on the House

The video from our Outdoor camera was recorded at 4:16 AM, July 9, 2009. We had no idea there were snakes this large around our house. We think the snake fell out of the palm tree and onto the corner of our garage roof. Then, it must have slithered and fell down in front of the camera. The snake never bumps the camera so we assumed it was at least two feet out from the camera. A coworker of mine said it looks like a Rat Snake. Rat Snakes can grow up to 6 ft. long. Several other coworkers just said.... it's an "alive" snake. Ha!

These cameras are awesome. We have seen so much activity with them, even when everyone is sleeping.

M. Watanabe, Bailey the Skateboard Dog

We purchased the Logitech system because my van was broken into over night and the thought that they could have easily come into my son’s room made me feel so violated. Finger prints were taken and they said it would take a year to process. So we ran out and got your cameras and I felt so much better.

The story I am sending is about our dog Bailey. Our tenant accidentally let Bailey out of the gate as they pulled in. We came home to find our skater baby Bulldog Bailey was missing and realized we needed to run to our cameras for help! With the help of our life size photos posted all over the valley, and the help of the local gas stations, all of our work trucks, and most importantly, the Logitech cameras, we were able to get the local news media to cover our story and ask the public to help. We were on The Pet Place Radio and TV and Garage Girls magazine.

Watch the news story here.

Good news: we have our Bailey home and safe; and YES, with all the Cameras on him. Ironically, a man turned Bailey in from the news showing the video over and over. The man turned him in to a shelter approx 40 miles from our home. He said the dog’s name was Lucky and that he owned him but had to surrender him because he was going crazy over anything with little wheels!

I’m attaching 2 pictures showing Bailey getting and giving hugs to the local kids that missed him!

This third picture shows Bailey and his buddy, Birdie our parrot, at Venice Beach. The parrot tells him to come eat!

J. Bernstein, An Egret Landing

We purchased a video security system in late January 2009 because a pond in our front yard had been vandalized twice. I enjoy having the system because when the alert window pops up, I immediately look to see whos coming to or from our front door and it was the alert window that showed me the visit, just a few minutes ago, of an Egret, coming in for a landing. Now, in some parts of Southern California, an Egret wouldnt be unusual. But we live in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, at least 50 miles from the open ocean. We have never seen any sort of ocean water fowl up here, not even gulls.

J. Barron, Coyote Runs Down Suburban Sidewalk

We purchased your Logitech WiLife camera after we had our garbage cans stolen (they were full) and because the house across the street went into foreclosure. So we wanted to make sure we could watch the night and daytime activities.

One day, while the neighbors started cleaning up the front and back yard of the foreclosed house, a coyote ran down the sidewalk. Needless to say, we weren't expecting to see a coyote.

R. Rader: Interior Decorating Cat

Our story is somewhat of a humorous one. We put up new sheer curtains on our windows and sliding glass doors. But when we would return home from work, we'd find the curtains all over the house. We could not figure out what was happening.

So, we thought thought we would add a Logitech Clock camera to our system, since we already own the Indoor camera ("and LOVE it"), and place it in the living room by the curtains.

A few days later, we arrived home from work and found the sheer curtains all over the floor again. So, we sat down and played back all the recorded events of the day. This video is what we saw - our small cat Pearl, who is a rambunctious little thing, re-decorating our living room with the curtains.

We hope you enjoy this video and get a good chuckle from it.

J. Rische, Geese Crossing in Back Yard

I live in a neighborhood of town homes and have been experiencing a problem with my next door neighbor’s dog doing his job on my grass. I happen to have my WiLife camera on so I checked it out and guess what, it wasn't the dog, it was a family of GEESE. WOW! Was I glad to have that camera recording before I said something to my neighbor about her dog.

A. Kelsey, Family of Quail Monitored By Security Camera

Under the watchful eye of our Logitech camera, these Quail Parents made a home on our porch with their family.

J. Morgan, Visiting Bobcats in Tucson

I had purchased the WiLife system for general security. I wanted to be able to see what was happening at my house while I was at work. I have a friend who purchased some cameras after seeing mine. She uses them to keep an eye on her mother, who has alzheimer's, while she is at work.

My wife kept being awakened in the middle of the night because the motion sensor light mounted outside by their bedroom window kept coming on. Because of the portability of the Logitech cameras, I relocated one of the Indoor cameras to the bedroom window. This video is what we found. (Watch video.)

We continued to monitor the cats for a couple of weeks until they finally moved on. My wife named the mother, Fluffy. (Fluffy came back the following year and had 2 more kittens on our deck. We have tons of vids.)

S. Probasco: Young Buck Attacks a Dummy Buck

My family gave me my Logitech video security system for Christmas so I could record the wildlife around the house while I'm not home. I have 6 outdoor cameras. Two of the cameras watch the house doors and four monitor the backyard. In my backyard, I have an automatic corn feeder that has been set up for years. And for years, all sorts of wildlife have come to eat from the feeder.

In this video I submitted, a young buck attacked the dummy-buck I had set up in the backyard. What I like about the video is the amount of force the deer used to drive the dummy into the ground; followed by the buck’s confused look at seeing the head and legs strewn about.

J. Combariza: Blue Jake Chases Snake

My name is J. Combariza and I live in Florida. I use Logitech WiLife Outdoor and Indoor cameras for surveillance. In this video, however, my cameras captured a Blue Jake trying to catch a small snake. Nature in action.

M. Breskovich, 4 AM on a Wintery Pittsburgh Street: Deer

I live within the city limits of Pittsburgh, the home of the Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers.

My wife works from home so we converted an upstairs guest bedroom into an office. We needed a way to monitor who was at the front door without constantly disrupting her work routine. Hence, I mounted a WiLife camera on the front porch.

I caught this about 4:00 in the morning from my outdoor camera. Deer, deer, and more deer! Now, deer in the suburban gardens and rural areas is not uncommon. However, city deer walking down the sidewalk in my neighborhood is certainly eye opening.

It worked out so well and I was so pleased with the first camera, I quickly added another camera. I mounted the indoor camera on a tripod and use it as a puppy cam when no one’s home.

J. Atkinson: Farmer uses Online Viewing to Watch Milking Tasks

Dear Logitech,

My story has nothing crazy about it. I just want to thank you for providing such good service. I am a farmer. I put a WiLife camera in my milking parlor, especially for those times when I go out of town. I then got it to be posted on my Internet account by WiLife. It was great! I could go on-line and watch my cows being milked. My workers were surprised when I told them I could watch them milking my cow from anywhere in the world. I also have an air card so I can be riding down the road and watch everything. With your product, I am able to ensure my work is done properly and all my animals are well taken care of. I have also used WiLife to watch my horses when they are birthing. They work great and allow me to make sure there are no complications. Thanks for such a wonderful product.

L. DePaul: Critters of the BackYard

Here are some unaware neighborhood critters caught by my WiLife patio camera in the first few weeks of use. Humorous, edited, to music.

M. Seifert: Moose of Lake Sakakawea

Hi, my name is M. Seifert.

I have to say my purchase of my WiLife video security system has been one of the best investments ever made. We maintain a second home in a very remote area of pristine Lake Sakakawea in North Dakota. We installed 6 cameras so that we could sleep nicely knowing that the heat is on and we can monitor weather conditions and any threats to the security of our second home.

This video clip was amazing to us and even to the Game and Fish of North Dakota because it shows a Moose who wandered into our front yard. NOBODY would believe us when we said a MOOSE was in the front yard - every ND person laughed and said that's impossible, especially in that area. Well, here you go, a young Bullwinkle eating the green grass.

Also, just recently, our backyard camera recorded two wild dogs strolling through our back yard shortly after a blizzard. We were puzzled because there are no homes for miles around. When we finally returned to the house after an intense week of snow melt and flooding, we couldn’t find them and to this day wonder where they came from and whose they were.

Thanks for a GREAT system.

N. Oldaker: When the Dog's Home Alone

What event influenced you to purchase a video security system?

Did some research online and liked what I saw. Was always concerned about someone breaking in and harming my pets and not being able to prove who it was. With WiLife, now I can.

Where are the Cameras installed in your home or business?

Kitchen overlooking the Living Room

How have you benefited from having video security?

Numerous ways: I feel much more secure now that I know the system is set up. One thing I did do is buy a sensor motion switch for my kitchen lights. If someone ever breaks in, the lights will come on and the crook would be captured by the camera.

What is your video clip about?

It's 7 seconds of short and funny stuff, catching Jax in the act: Whenever my husband Eric or I leave the house to go shopping, my Bichon Frise, Jasper Jax, would be left home alone. He would howl and pee at will. I would come home and would smell it, but it would take hours to find out where the smell was coming from. When I bought WiLife, I never expected to catch the pup peeing on my coach pillows, and then howl at the camera as if to say - "Ha!"

So when I saw the video, I immediately walked over to the pillow, picked it up, took it over to him (Jasper Jax) and scolded him. He was stunned that I found it so quickly. So the "Ha" was on him. He has never done it again.

We cured the problem once we realized Jax was so lonely when I went out. We found him the perfect mate in Chattanooga, TN. Her name is Jazzy Jasmine. She and Jax keep each other company while I'm out. The nice part about WiLife Cameras is not only the great peace of mind of security at home but that I can also check on my two sweet Bichon's when ever I travel to make sure they are okay.

Happy Bichons and Happy Owners. Thanks WiLife!!!
