July 2009 Customer Success Story Winners
First Place: C. Taylor: Stopping the Truck Engine Fire
We bought your camera system because our neighbor had a break-in to their garage and lost all their tools. Thank God for your wonderful video cameras.
I was on the computer when I saw our truck in flames. Our neighbors were trying desperately to put them out. I ran out with a fire extinguisher. If we didn't have your cameras, we would have lost our truck. The truck’s only damage was to the wiring, which we were able to rewire. Thank you for your awesome cameras.

Second Place: J. Wesley: Security Camera Catches Home Intruder
On June 18, 2009, I left to go to work, leaving my fourteen year old daughter at home alone. Shortly after I arrived at work, my daughter called frantically, 'Mom, someone was just ringing the doorbell and now I hear a noise in the house.' I was less than ten minutes away so I immediately started heading back home. I also called the police on my way to alert them to what had just occurred at my residence.
I called my daughter back to ask her if someone got inside the house. She was crying and said, 'Yes, he was standing in my doorway!'
I asked her if he was still inside the house. She said that she didn't know. She was too scared to move.
When I arrived home, the burglar was gone and my daughter was physically unharmed. However, she was extremely shaken up and afraid.
While the police officers were interviewing me, I told them that the burglar was caught on my home video surveillance system. They downloaded the video and have been actively seeking this suspect since the burglary.
Third Place: M. Hershberger: High-Quality Security Cameras Record Hawk Flying by a Barn
We have the Logitech WiLife system installed at our farm because we are not usually there during the week. We always enjoy the images captured by the cameras of the wildlife in the area, but this one surprised us. In reviewing the footage at normal speed, we saw this shadow on the ground and then just a flash across the screen. We then went back and looked at it frame by frame and found it was a hawk passing by the camera. At a 10 fps capture rate, the hawk only took two frames to traverse the camera’s entire field of view. But the images from those two frames are stunning. We were very surprised and pleased since, we didn't even know we had hawks in the area.
I have attached two images of the hawk taken by the cameras to highlight the quality.

Special Award: Best Counter-Punch Video
My dad, P. Murphy, won the video contest for June. Here is my version: Parents were outta town, but the camera still caught all of what was going on....grounding ensued.
Use this instead of my dad’s.
