First Place: S. Hill: 3 attempted car thefts in 1 week
On the night of 3/21 - 3/22 sometime in the early morning, someone broke into my car. Unfortunately, it was not locked... my mistake won't happen again. So I filed a police report... I knew there wasn't much I could do.
I decided to install a Logitech WiLife security camera, which I did on 3/28. I started monitoring it on 3/29. I have only monitored it for 2 days, and I got footage of someone trying again to break into my car. This thing has already paid for itself in my eyes 3 days after having it because I have a video of this guys face. I have plastered it all over Youtube, warned my neighbors, and posted fliers of this thug. Crime will not win. Logitech I loved you with the harmony remote, and now Logitech WiLife has made my life better.
I have now caught 3 incidents in one week. I was so compelled to take this to the police that I also contacted the local media. They did a story on me. Anyway, I have had tons of people inquire as to what kind of system I bought. Thanks WiLife! Logitech is the best!

Second Place: T. Mihaly: Neighbor crashes into girlfriend's vehicle
Third Place: D. Peterson: Students smoking pot in alley off-campus
I live a half-block from a college campus (University of Puget Sound). Our neighborhood is filled with young kids who play in the alley and backyards.
There has been a select number of students (this group) who seem to think that it is okay to walk off-campus (presuming that campus security can’t touch them) and smoke marijuana in our alley, sometimes openly in front of the pre-teenas and kids riding their bikes and playing there. Several different neighbors have come out and asked them to leave. Each time, they throw their pipe in their pocket and say their only going for a walk.
Well, it only took about a day after my camera was set up to catch them in the action. In the video, you can see them turn around near the end. That's because I was yelling at them out the window. I pointed at my camera and then told them that I have catch them on camera day or night, sunshine or rain. I then said I would be over at the Students Affair office the next day with the video if I ever see them in my alley again. It has been two months and they have not been back. Thank you WiLife.
